Undergraduate research assistants and undergraduate students pursuing an Honors Thesis will work collaboratively with Dr. Wallace to support multiple aspects of the research process. Examples include, but are not limited to: (a) schedule participant interviews; (b) conduct participant interviews, (c) facilitate transcription services, (d) engage in reflective conversations about the data, (e) maintain secure and organized data storage procedures; (f) prepare conference proposals; and (g) get familiar with scholarly literature related to the topic of interest.
VALUABLE SKILLS
Familiarity and/or willingness to learn how to use diverse multimedia platforms (e.g., Google Drive Tools, GoogleCalendars, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox)
Ability to organize and complete several time-sensitive tasks
Positive and collaborative communication skills
Ability to hear, listen, mindfully respond, and maintain confidentiality of diverse perspectives
Respect for the rigor and complexity educational research demands
POSSIBLE OUTCOMES
Prepare academic conference proposals and/or manuscripts for publication informed by research experience
