  • Accept that there is a clear 'end point' for working with individual or collective ideas
  • Respond to status quo ideas and practices as if they are sufficient
  • Determine and/or use silver bullets

Research advisees are expected to ...

    • If aren't sure about this characteristic, we can help you get there but this is the ultimate goal.
  • come prepared to all meetings with discussion items, progress updates, and specific question about their research goals.
  • use the "3 before me rule"
  • share and discuss works-in-progress with peers
  • use diverse multimedia platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Tools, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, Outlook, Calendly)
  • organize and complete several time-sensitive tasks
  • use collaborative, honest, and authentic communication skills while maintaining an inclusive environment
  • hear, listen, mindfully respond, and maintain the confidentiality of diverse perspectives
  • respect the rigor and complexity inherent to research and teaching
  • be prepared for any meeting objectives collaboratively established by me, yourself, and/or other NExUS-MS group members
