- Objective 1:
- Build theories that examine the nexus of science and society to explore multidimensional interactions impacting the development of equity-driven STEM educators.
- Objective 2:
- Assess Informal Science Institution's (ISI’s) ability to increase interest and strategies for preparing equity-driven STEM educators.
- Objective 3:
- Examine ISI’s impact on affective sociocultural dynamics that decolonize dogmatic practices and identities among emerging STEM educators.
- Objective 4:
- Utilize existing community partnerships to implement robust informal learning opportunities to increase Mississippi STEM educator recruitment and preparation.
- Objective 5:
- Institutionalize undergraduate STEM employment and service opportunities that incentivize service-learning experiences that center local community members’ existing funds of knowledge.
- Objective 6:
- Develop, sustain, and assess methods for establishing authentic communities-of-practice with ISIs to advance STEM education and research.
